Hosco is a platform who aims at supporting hospitality professionals and students. They can apply to jobs, access advice articles, news, courses, and even grow a professional network there.
However, the challenge was how creating a digital product for such a human-centred industry. We realised that our users were preferring real-life relationships rather than online exchanges. From that point, we decided to interview many people, we invited them to our office to perform some tests with them, to understand what could help our digital product become more "human".
After crossing all the results, we created several personas, answering different criteria that we thought were essential to bring the product to the right direction.
In parallel, we also met other types of users, such as hotel directors, hospitality school teachers, community managers, etc. We then created also personas for them, and mapped the connections between all actors within the industry, and their common characteristics.
